Bin Cheng + Ti Lum & Jia Beng Toh!

Sweet Ting came over to my house to help out with the wedding card prep while we wait for our bed + dining tables to arrive.

A picture speaks a thousand words!

If you observe carefully most of our furnitures are without sharp corners and handles as AL is afraid that clumsy yours truly will knock myself into something.

The design match our bed frame haha

Bought some bottles of oil, sauces etc so that we can start to do light cooking. :)

Will start to shift my things bit by bit so that on our official move in day i don't have much to do

    Can sit liao!

DSC01078 DSC01079Here's the $500+ cheap sofa from sea horse! luckily the color combi didn't turn out as bad as i had imagined and it is long enough.

Cushion is rather hard and i can't really sit comfortably on it.. well i can only console myself by thinking at least it will not go out of shape easily..

haii.. the consequence of buying cheapo stuff... got a big 20 cent size lobang at the arm rest! so obvious lor..  notice it the open we unwrap the sofa.. took down the picture and mms back to the customer service.

their customer service ppl still have the cheek to ask me if they give discount can accept or not.. of course NOT lahhhh.. my new house lehh how can have lobang one!!!!

i sounded very displeased (she suay lah call when my mood was not good after the appraisal) in the phone and insisted they replace it no matter how.

    HUMPF!!!!!

    DSC01077

sofa bed which costed $169.50 .. not too big and it is really as hard as wood LOL. nothing more to hiam for a cheap sofa bed like this.

Day and night Roman blinds in our MBR / Guest room and Study rooms.

The living room curtain + rod bought from old woodlands centre (Hong Ming curtain shop) cost around $100.

the 3 roman blinds (1 of which is 150 cm wide , 2 others are 220 cm wide ) from spot light @ PS cost around $500.

So we spend around $600 in total to DIY the curtains! :)

    DSC01054
AL reserved the left half of bookshelf for his comics!!! not even sure if the space is enough for all his comic collections or not. LOL

    cosy corner

hehehehe..start to do up my cosy corner..

DSC01023 mini coffee table from IKEA. leave it at a corner of my living room for the time being

    DSC01024
Rug from Ikea @$39 each.. too bad it is too short to cover the whole of my cosy corner so need to buy another one.. still thinking of how to over come the overlapping rugs

    DSC01025
Roman blinds from spotlight.. cost me a bomb man.. total $500 for these 3 can you believe it.. but then it is still cheaper than custom made price quoted by neighbourhood curtain shops. The drill cost around $69 from carrefour & tool box from Ikea @$9.

DSC01026 Tall bar chair from Ikea @19 each.. aiyah we had wanted to get the 93 cm tall one.. but then we took the wrong 63 cm chairs so now it becomes too short for the bar counter.. :(
duno if i should get extra 2 chairs with the correct height or not...

    Packed Weekend - Part 2

The reason why i split my packed weekend entry into 2 parts is due to the limitation on how i can categorise my blog entries here. SIGHHH...

    did so many things today..

    1pm - 4:30pm
went to choose my bridal gown. asked Yun and sushi along for opinions as they are just staying nearby the shop. heng i asked the 2 of them along cos AL nv give any constructive comments.
was quite happy with the gown collections there.. and coincidentally my NJC senior was trying out her gown too just beside my cubicle. LOL

    5 - 8 pm
had dinner with AL, sushi and vv at balestier.. then went to vv's house to meet her GIGI husky dog.. AL was so excited about it as his favourite dog is husky.
wha the dog is super active and I nearly died from heart attack during the 20 min time there.. luckily she had leashed the dog up before we enter the house...
I think AL and Gigi loved each other at first sight. LOL
gigi was so happy that she kissed my AL when he squated down. *jealous*

well, u can see how far i stood when i was taking the photos.

    8:30pm
rushed down to causeway point seahorse branch to buy sofa as they are having 50% discount off sale items now.. chop chop bought the items within 30 minutes as we were already clear on what to buy after 1 day consideration.

was aiming for this sofa at first as i like the design very much (no sharp corners) .. however it is a bit too short for my living room and the price is abit costly  (after discount about $959)

    DSC01015

so we decided to use the same amount of $$ to buy more things..

    chose the following instead.

    DSC01018

L-shape sofa with removable cover (we had asked for another color). this set is much longer (think about 3 meters long)
original price is $1059, after discount $529.50
bought an extra set of cover @129.50 so that we can change in the future.

    DSC01016

Sofa bed with removable cover. original price was $339, after discount is 169.50
love it as it looks very simple and comes with 4 free cushions!
bought another set of cover for this too @49.50

then horr delivery is free leh hahahaha

so we get a very good deal at $878.00

    ^_^ feel so satisfied now

    May 25

    It's GSS time again!

Went to the Robinson's birthday sale at Expo last night.. was quite disappointed with the things displayed there so didn't buy much.

Despite so many counters were opened but there wasn't much crowd there. i think most of the people were drawn to the food fest at the other halls.

Small fry is looking for cheap and nice curtains... anybody got lobang?

went to new house again and they have put up the window grills in living room and bedrooms.

Sigh don't really like the color, the greenish paint really look like ALGAE to me lorrrrrrrrrr.....

AL keep promising me that he can repaint it if I really cannot take it. I thought that if we get to choose the design and color in the first place then we don't have to go through so much troubles. :(

Since we can't do anything about it now.. I have placed my hopes on getting a nice nice curtain to cover it all up!!! Yan bu jian wei jing!

    December 09

YAY got my first ever house key!!

Hehehehe Small fry had collected her house key on Thursday 06-Dec-2007 in the afternoon at 4plus.

CHEONG to buy pineapple and prepare rice / salt /  plus dunno what leave to sprinkle on the floor when we first open our unit door.

Refer to here if you need to use in the future: initial opening of door   moving in

Then again cheong the place at 5 plus because Small fry couldn't wait to see her new flat.

The unit was okay but the kitchen and master bedroom toilet is abit too small. Must do something to utiilse the compact space liao.

If you all got any good interior design books to lend pls let me know haha.

On the same night, small fry went to attend the company end of year party at Oosh (Dempsey road)
The ambience is really wonderful. Good for weekend chillouts and romantic dinners. Had fun watching ppl doing funny dance moves hehe.
